The summer of 2003 has proven to be our busiest season yet. Man-hi went and came with the Squad Select Series season, and long-lost Ferret Burley reappeared. We cruelly initiated a bevy of new Ferrets: Snofox, Zacker, Meteor, Smaike, and new guy Nuker-, who was in fact born yesterday. Don't worry, guys, those paddle marks wear off.
For treats this summer, we got a new ETO arena, the long-awaited TBD Devastator, and the even-longer-awaited Dawn of Aces III, wisely merged with the WBIII arenas. Same game, different time, and great ACM practise for sure: just ask Doones, who's been snacking regular on DOA trainer-types.
All hail Momo for coordinating the great Order of the Undergarment drive of 2003, in celebration of our 3rd year as a WarBirds squad. As I've already explained to Wallyg, washing them voids the warranty, so don't. It's unmanly anyhow.
The Ferrets made some tentative steps this past season towards givin' a little... we hosted the first ever Ferrets' Challenge air-race (congrats Gldnbb!) and we've tried to advertise our WW2A squad night missions more effectively. I even volunteered to C/O an S3 frame, lord ha'mercy. Can a dictatorship of the ferretariat be far behind?
Summer holidays, the end of summer holidays, and assorted fazzjests all took their toll, but still the average attendance at our squad meets was up nearly 20% over last season. No doubt this is owing to Big Brother's fermented maple syrup bonus award miles program.
