Ferrets' Situation Report
15 November 2002

AND A COUPLE MORE FOR GOOD MEASURE...

More better... a Ferrety welcome to old ally Man-hi of ACME Flying Co., and new guy Troll-. Sure is nice to have some MASS... three guys didn't show last night and we still had enough oomph to capture a large field. Thanks to our old comrade Ferret of ACME Flying Co. for joining us on a few missions... our one exception to the "we don't share voice comms" rule. What's in a name?

While the roster went up by two, it also went down by one over this period. I have "retired" Burley, who has effectively vanished. That's the way these things go, it seems... I wonder how our retention rate compares to that of other squads?

It will be very interesting to see how things work out for the squad now that we've grown some. We're used to having maybe six guys on a job, tops. One thing we finally got to try last night was combined ops: Doones and I rolled armor for a medium field... the rest of the crew upped Ju88s to close the field with tonnage. Doones then rolled in with his panzer to squash the ack, and I was there with an M5 for the capture. Very cool, and pretty much perfectly timed... Doones and I only had to wait for a few minutes [ahem]. I hope we get to try that again soon, because it's more fun than just throwing waves of Ju52s at a capped field.

A few of us have been working on an Air Race scenario, but the P&D arena has been locked lately, so that's on hold for now. Hope to test it out with the squad soon, though.
